Since 2012, UMBC has provided both our students and local landlords an online database of student rentals to better serve students needing quality, safe off-campus housing in the Baltimore area. It is always free for students, faculty and staff and private landlords always receive their first 30-day listing free. Thank you for supporting UMBC off-campus student housing.

PLEASE NOTE: As you search for housing in private houses in Baltimore County: Baltimore County law prohibits more than two unrelated adults from living together unless the unit is authorized by the county as a rooming or boarding house. This law applies only to residential rental properties with one to six units. Larger rental complexes are covered by other county laws and regulations that ensure the safety and well-being of their tenants.

All parties posting/advertising properties through UMBC Office of Off-Campus Student Services have certified that the properties advertised are available to UMBC community members in conformity with all pertinent federal and state laws and regulations on nondiscrimination regarding race, creed, color, religion, sex, gender, pregnancy, ancestry, age, gender identity or expression, national origin, veterans status, marital status, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, or genetic information. Parties posting/advertising properties have also certified that the property is in compliance with the applicable fire safety codes. UMBC employees do not inspect these properties. It is also understood that UMBC does not provide off-campus housing and neither the properties posted nor the rental parties are screened. All parties entering into a lease agreement should exercise due care and provide for their own personal safety and comfort. Landlord/tenant agreements are for housing only, and do not ensure personal safety or collegiality. As such, UMBC cannot vouch for landlords or tenants. UMBC reserves the right to refuse or delete any posting at any time.
